National Aerospace Solutions (NAS), LLC is the team selected by the U.S. Air Force (USAF) to conduct Test and Operations Sustainment activities at the Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC), Arnold Air Force Base, in Tullahoma, Tennessee. NAS is committed to partnering with the Air Force and the workforce at AEDC to drive the change necessary to ensure the long-term viability of the Complex while ensuring mission success: no impact to customers, no loss in data quality, and no reduction in productive test time – ultimately securing AEDC's long-term future and world-class superiority in aerospace and flight testing.

NAS currently has an exciting opportunity available for a Work Package Manager to join our team at Arnold Air Force Base in Tennessee.
 

Job Duties:
  • Support the Group Manager by managing a multitude of RBA test projects.
  • Write Project plans for test projects for Branch.
  • Estimate test projects for the Branch, and update as required.
  • Provide schedule input on the test projects.
  • Update schedules and estimates, as required.
  • Provide recommendations to the Air Force test manager on aspects of test projects that would decrease the risk to successful testing.
  • Perform management tasks to assure the successful TOS support of the Air Force test manager.
  • Analyze and track actuals from test projects.
  • Manage a portfolio of sustainment and maintenance projects.
  • Provide feedback to mission branch managers on effectiveness of the RBA test projects and other projects to improve processes.
  • Develop specialized reporting tools to support the group and branch managers for reporting on progress outside of the normal reporting requirements, as agreed with the Air Force test manager.
  • Mentor early career engineers and managers on project planning and workload estimating.
  • Prepare and provide reports for that assist the Branch Managers with tracking and control of the scope of work, resource utilization, schedules, and work accomplishments.
  • Collect and analyze data for trends and clearly communicate this information to Group managers.
  • Perform cost and performance measurement analysis against planned and estimated independently.
  • Evaluate Earned Value Management System (EVMS) or cost reports as applicable.
  • Supports periodic project and customer meetings to review progress and discuss project issues. Ensures problems involving coordination, schedule, and the setting of priorities are resolved by the project teams.
  • It is a condition of employment to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
 
Basic Qualifications:
  • BA/BS in business or related technical field from an accredited university and ten years of progressive and relevant experience or any equivalent combination of relevant education and progressive and relevant experience.
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in project planning, cost and schedule development, and execution support.
  • Current U. S. Citizenship is required.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Basic knowledge of construction, engineering, procurement, or other project-related activities.
  • Ability to organize and monitor a wide variety of team efforts to their successful conclusion.
  • Ability to adjust promptly and effectively
