National Aerospace Solutions, LLC is the team selected by the U.S. Air Force to conduct Test and Operations Sustainment at the Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC) at Arnold Air Force Base in Tennessee. AEDC operates more than 55 aerodynamic and propulsion wind tunnels, rocket and turbine engine test cells, space environmental chambers, arc heaters, ballistic ranges and other specialized units located in six states. Many of the complex's test units have capabilities unmatched elsewhere in the United States; some are unique in the world. AEDC is one of three installations which are part of the Air Force Test Center (AFTC), one of six subordinate commands of the Air Force Materiel Command organization, and an important national resource.
AEDC’s mission is to conduct developmental test and evaluation for the Nation through modeling, simulation, and ground and flight test. Execution of the mission requires a large team of highly qualified and dedicated professionals from multiple technical disciplines to effectively accomplish the objectives of our test customers.
NAS currently has an exciting career opportunity available for an experienced IS&T Network Engineer to join our team at Arnold Air Force Base in Tennessee.
Maintain oversight and responsibility for networking infrastructure and capabilities to support test and evaluation related data transmission.
Perform administration, configuration, installation, and troubleshooting of networking hardware, services, and protocols.
Primary technical lead for network architecture and advanced networking capabilities to advise and compose prescribed configuration actions to other technical members of the staff for the deployment of systems and services within IS&T Systems Infrastructure responsibilities.
Interface professionally with NAS leadership and DoD counterparts to provide status and to negotiate proposed solutions, costs, and schedules.
Maintain technical proficiency and drive productivity and cost efficiency; engage with vendors, develop solutions, including budgets and schedules, to address future upgrades in terms of hardware and/or software upgrades.
Collaboratively work with team members to identify and resolve deficiencies which could impact network health or availability.
Design and develop network solutions and develop notional and practical architecture diagrams and associated analyses.
Works with the Information Assurance Manager to ensure compliance with information assurance regulations and best practices.
Ensure Cybersecurity requirements are consistently documented, maintained, evaluated and compliant for Government IT system networks including components of systems.
Availability outside of working hours to remediate any issues with Government IT system networks.
Provide end user troubleshooting support for Government IT system networks through the ticket support system.
Support the use of common work processes and procedures within assigned function across the TOS contract.
Provide network expertise for collaborative solutions to support AEDC customers and other support contractors and government agencies.
Periodically evaluates processes and program effectiveness and takes action to maintain continuous improvement.
Follows all safety rules and procedures, and contributes to the safety of co-workers and the general public.
Willing and able to follow instruction, assist in training of co-workers, and cooperate with other employees, customers and contractors.
It is a condition of employment to wear company issued PPE (personal protective equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy.

Bachelor’s degree focused on Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or Systems Engineering and seven (7) to (10) years of progressive and relevant experience.
Have an active 8570 IAT II Certification, if not, will be required within 6 months of employment.
U S Citizenship required
Active DoD security clearance.
Experience designing, building and managing enterprise network architectures.
Security+ or equivalent certification
Active Top Secret DoD security clearance
Active Cisco CCNP certification or equivalent
Prior experience managing a capital improvement, maintenance, training, or overhead project, or at least a portion of a project budget.
Experience with the following: Unix\Linux\Windows workstation and server environments, mass storage, networking, boundary firewalls and proxies, routing, HPC, patching, ACAS, VLAN’s, VMWare, Redhat, active directory, vulnerability management, and Solarwinds
