NAS currently has an exciting opportunity available for a Compensation Analyst to join our Human Resources team in Tullahoma, TN.
Job Summary The Compensation Analyst will support the planning, developing, and implementation of the NAS Compensation programs which supports our three Geographically Separated Units (GSUs) in Tullahoma, TN; Mountain View, CA; and White Oak, MD. The incumbent will support continuous improvement, the use of common work processes and procedures in the Human Resources branch. The incumbent will conduct special projects, advise management on areas of expertise, and provide guidance and leadership to the NAS management team as well as employees on Compensation and other HR programs. The position will report to the Compensation and Staffing Manager.
Responsibilities Support the development and administration of compensation programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and alignment with company objectives, policies, and government regulations to include:
Support the administration of the annual salary planning process to include salary budget benchmarking, Relative Assessment process, merit and promotional request processes, EEO analysis, and Compensation Change Notice distribution.
Conduct external salary benchmarking process and analyze industry pay practices.
Perform annual tests for reasonableness and internal salary analysis to ensure the compensation program is in compliance with FAR and other government regulations.
Support the development of company grade and salary structures, NAS Job Family, and SAP Job Structure.
Ensure NAS Compensation Program is in compliance of Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and the Service Contract Act (SCA)
Maintains the NAS job description repository. Reviews job descriptions identifying and errors or incompleteness.
Perform job analysis for all open requisition to determine classification and salary grade level.
Support the determination of starting salaries for new employees, job postings, and transferred employees as well as salary increases for promotion and salary adjustments.
Support internal and external audits of the Compensation Program.
Support the development of HR policies, procedures, standard operating processes and reports for compensation program.
Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with the management team and employees providing guidance and assistance on interpreting HR policies, processes, and procedures.
Investigate and recommend methods to improve human resources systems and services, develop procedures and processes with a focus on quality, continuous improvement and customer focus.
Support the development, analysis, and tracking of internal HR metrics.
Support HRIS / SAP systems updates and modifications
May provide support to other HR areas as needed.
It is a condition of employment to wear company issued OOE (personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Education or other related field and seven (7) to nine (9) years of progressive and relevant experience.
Current U.S. citizenship is required.
Twelve (12) years of experience directly related to developing and implementing Compensation programs.
Knowledge of laws and regulatory requirements related to areas of responsibility such privacy of data, government reporting requirements and human resources program design and administration.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements, employment law, DOD regulations and Human Resources administration
Experience in analyzing and forecasting compensation trends, developing total compensation plans, and managing human resources systems.
Skilled in preparation of written communications, oral presentations, and technical writing.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications especially in support of compensation analysis application.
Ability to identify problem areas, investigate alternative options and recommend or implement solutions related to areas of responsibility.
Experience in FARs, SCA, FLSA, OFCCP, and EEO related laws and regulations.
Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
Ability to work within assigned teams with limited supervision, exercise independent judgement and decision-making, take initiative to resolve issues, and support team success across the company.
