National Aerospace Solutions (NAS), LLC is the team selected by the U.S. Air Force (USAF) to conduct Test and Operations Sustainment activities at the Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC), Arnold Air Force Base, in Tullahoma, Tennessee. NAS is committed to partnering with the Air Force and the workforce at AEDC to drive the change necessary to ensure the long-term viability of the Complex while ensuring mission success: no impact to customers, no loss in data quality, and no reduction in productive test time – ultimately securing AEDC's long-term future and world-class superiority in aerospace and flight testing.

The HR Assistant will primarily support the HR Benefits and Systems function leveraging his/her ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with management and employees.  During peak times, the HR Assistant may support other areas within HR such as Compensation, Staffing, and Employee Relations.

Job Duties:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Update and maintain data integrity within the HRIS (SAP) system that supports NAS organization management, HR programs and processes and facilitates accurate and timely reporting to meet federal, and state reporting requirements for Tennessee, Maryland, and California. 
  • Maintain PeopleSoft Financials roster for NAS, nLogic, and Bechtel Reachback to include adding, updating, and terminating employees as well as maintaining the Resources Cats for each employee.
  • Update time card approver, supervisor, and shift changes in SAP.
  • Generate ad-hoc reports as requested by NAS management.
  • Proactively partner with management to ensure HR-related data is kept accurate and up-to-date in the HRIS.
  • Point of contact for all external employment verifications.
  • Administrative support for existing HR systems and processes such as benefits administration, compensation planning, performance management, and staffing, as needed.
  • Maintain personnel files for current and terminated employees.
  • Provide Office of Personnel Management employment history and work history verification as requested
  • Provide support on internal and external audits to include DOL, DCAA, OFCCP, and requests from managing counsel as requested
  • Process Personnel Action Notices through the approval process for HR processes as requested
  • Support out-processing of termination NAS employees.
  • Support badge requests and CAC issuance for new hires as well as supporting CAC renewals.
  • Create and maintain HR Benefits and Systems filing systems.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • It is a condition of employment to wear company issued PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
•      Two (2) years of college and four (4) years of relevant experience or any equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.    
•      Current U S Citizenship required.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Education or other related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.   
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work within assigned teams with limited supervision, take initiative to resolve issues, and support team success across the company.
  • Ability to identify problem areas, investigate alternative options and recommend or implement solutions related to areas of responsibility.
  • Knowledge of laws and regulatory requirements related to areas of responsibility such privacy of data, government reporting requirements and human resources program design and administration.
  • PHR or equivalent certification
  • Experience and skill in HR information systems management such as PeopleSoft or SAP including data entry and integrity, and reporting for management and regulatory audits.
