National Aerospace Solutions (NAS), LLC is the team selected by the U.S. Air Force (USAF) to conduct Test and Operations Sustainment activities at the Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC), Arnold Air Force Base, in Tullahoma, Tennessee. NAS currently has an exciting opportunity available for a Site Nurse to join our team at Arnold Air Force Base in Tennessee.

Job Summary
This position is for a project Registered Nurse to provide support for the New Arcs Facility in Tullahoma, Tennessee.  Plans and performs specialized and advanced nursing assignments of considerable difficulty, uses expertise in assessing patient conditions. Provides and/or monitors the medical and first-aid treatment programs on project.  Performs nursing duties in accordance with medical directives approved by the contracted physician and local governing agencies.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Administers first aid treatment to injured or ill personnel and renders subsequent follow-up treatment as needed.
  • Evaluates level of care needed for injuries and/or illnesses and refers to clinics or hospital as needed.
  • Responds to emergency situations and provides treatment accordingly.
  • Dispenses medication in accordance with project medical directives.
  • Performs primary and secondary observations and assists in the drug and alcohol program.
  • Establishes and maintains on site first aid/medical records and prepares related reports per the project medical guidelines.
  • Purchases and maintains appropriate inventory of first aid and medical equipment.
  • Participates with supervision and AEDC emergency services for emergency/medical response.
  • It is a condition of employment to wear company issued PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy.
  • Perform other related duties as required
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Tennessee or current license in compact state.
  • RN with 10 or more years’ experience
  • A minimum of 2+ years of experience in occupational health.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in medical reporting and record keeping requirements.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience handling emergency situations.
  • Basic computer programs such as Word, Excel and Access.
  • The right to work and remain in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Knowledge of establishing and organizing a first aid/emergency treatment facility.
  • Certified ACLS
  • Certified BLS
  • Current U. S. Citizenship
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in occupational health nursing.
  • Prior experience in occupational health nursing, emergency room, and intensive care unit.
  • Experience in nursing in the construction field
  • Experience in working with Workers Compensation Insurer.
  • HAZMAT Response/Training
