This opportunity is being offered by National Aerospace Solutions, the team selected by the U.S. Air Force to conduct Test and Operations Sustainment at the Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC), Arnold Air Force Base, Tennessee.  National Aerospace Solutions is a limited liability company comprised of Bechtel National Inc. (as lead company) and Sierra Lobo Inc. with teaming Subcontractors nLogic Inc. and Chugach Federal Solutions Inc. AEDC operates more than 55 aerodynamic and propulsion wind tunnels, rocket and turbine engine test cells, space environmental chambers, arc heaters, ballistic ranges and other specialized units located in six states. Many of the complex's test units have capabilities unmatched elsewhere in the United States; some are unique in the world. AEDC is one of three installations which are part of the Air Force Test Center (AFTC), one of six subordinate commands of the Air Force Materiel Command organization and an important national resource.

AEDC’s mission is to conduct developmental test and evaluation for the Nation through modeling, simulation, ground, and flight test.  Execution of the mission requires a large team of highly qualified and dedicated professionals from multiple technical disciplines to effectively accomplish the objectives of our test customers.

Job Duties:
  • Provide support in the design, development, sustainment, and deployment of Government IT Business system/applications.
  • Development, maintenance and support of existing ATMSS Business Systems such as PeopleSoft Financials, Oracle Work Asset Management (OWAM), ENOVIA, Oracle BI, Oracle Access Manager, JOCAS, barcoding, EDI, Drawing Management, etc.
  • Work with requirement stakeholders to gather and document requirements.
  • Perform software lifecycle aspects that includes requirements documentation, design documentation, configuration management, testing, implementation plans, etc.
  • Support and remediate any critical issues with Business Systems outside of normal assigned shift.
  • Provide Tier 2 end user troubleshooting support for Business Systems through the ticket support system.
  • Support the use of common work processes and procedures within assigned function across the TOS contract.
  • Provide support to AEDC Customer and other contractors.
  • Ensure Cybersecurity requirements are consistently documented, maintained, evaluated and compliant for Government IT system networks including components of systems.
  • Periodically evaluates process and program effectiveness and takes action to maintain continuous improvement.
  • It is a condition of employment to wear company issued PPE (personal protective equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy.
  • Performs other duties as assigned. 
Basic Qualifications:
  • BS degree in Computer Engineering, Science, or Information Systems and 2 to 5 years of progressive and relevant experience or any equivalent combination of relevant education and progressive and relevant experience.
  • Current US Citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with the following; Visual Studio, Toad for Oracle, SQL Server Management Studio, Visio, Dimensions, SVN, GitHub, Microsoft Office, Windows 10 & Windows Server OS application environments, Power BI, SQL Server Reporting Services, etc.
  • Programming languages such as C#, JavaScript, Java, JavaServer Pages, JPOS, SQL, PL/SQL, HTML, Tickle, VB.net, SSL, Web API’s, etc.
  • Software development lifecycle methodologies including waterfall and agile.
  • Skilled in oral and written communication
  • Skilled at building and maintaining personnel and customer relationships
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
  • Active DoD security clearance.
