This opportunity is being offered by National Aerospace Solutions, the team selected by the U.S. Air Force to conduct Test and Operations Sustainment at the Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC). National Aerospace Solutions is a limited liability company comprised of Bechtel National Inc. (as lead company) and Sierra Lobo Inc. with teaming Subcontractors nLogic Inc. and Chugach Federal Solutions Inc.

Work will be performed at the AEDC Hypervelocity Wind Tunnel No. 9 (Tunnel 9) located in Silver Spring, Maryland. Tunnel 9 provides aerodynamic simulation critical to hypersonic system development and hypersonic vehicle technologies at speeds from Mach 7 to Mach 18, a capability unmatched anywhere in the United States

Job Duties:
Provide multi-disciplined security support for Arnold Engineering & Development Complex’s (AEDC) Tunnel 9 security programs at all classification levels. Candidates must be a self-driven and results-oriented capable of effectively articulating and presenting comprehensive security-based recommendations in support of Tunnel 9’s industrial security program.
 

  • Support test program security management, including preparing test security plans.
  • Support all construction planning efforts, from requirements phase through design, construction, and occupancy.
  • Serve as an auxiliary Construction Site Security Manager.
  • Establish and maintain facility physical security requirements (must have or attain thorough knowledge of ICD 705) and TEMPEST accreditation documentation.
  • In cooperation with the Government, update and maintain Security Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Emergency Action Plans, based on annual regulatory requirements.
  • Track and maintain AECS access requirements and administration.
  • Ensure Facility Checklist Completion for all facilities, to include TEMPEST addendums.
  • Research and document sources to ensure deliverables meet stated objectives, to include proper marking and handling requirements.
  • Train project personnel on security requirements
  • Establish security protocols in work areas required for test projects.
  • Validate entry authorization lists.
  • Perform pre-test and post-test work area sanitizations.
  • Ensure all materials are properly marked.
  • Process inbound and outbound classified test articles and documentation
  • Perform destruction of classified materials
  • Process documents and magnetic media for accountability
  • Audit security processes to ensure policy compliance and quality standards.
  • It is a condition of this position to be able to obtain/maintain SCI eligibility.
  • It is a condition of employment to wear company issued PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or analogous military experience, plus at least 5 years of progressive and relevant experience or any equivalent combination of education and progressive and relevant experience.
  • Current U. S. Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Current TS/SCI security clearance desired.
  • Highly skilled in verbal and written communications to ensure effective, professional interaction with government officials, senior management, associate contractors, and client representatives.
  • Related experience to include experience as a Facility Security Officer (FSO), providing direct Security Specialist support to a Facility Security Officer, and/or experience in intelligence, law enforcement, public or private sector security organization, with the total equaling 5 years’ experience in any combination of the above positions.
  • Working knowledge of DoD and/or Air Force regulations.
  • Formal and specialized training in industrial security, physical security, information protection, criminal justice, industrial relations, personnel and resource management, or associated disciplines.
  • Proactive, positive, and innovative and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Consistent availability and dependability.
