This opportunity is being offered by National Aerospace Solutions, the team selected by the U.S. Air Force to conduct Test and Operations Sustainment at the Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC), Arnold Air Force Base, Tennessee.  National Aerospace Solutions is a limited liability company comprised of Bechtel National Inc. (as lead company) and Sierra Lobo Inc. with teaming Subcontractors nLogic Inc. and Chugach Federal Solutions Inc. AEDC operates more than 55 aerodynamic and propulsion wind tunnels, rocket and turbine engine test cells, space environmental chambers, arc heaters, ballistic ranges and other specialized units located in six states. Many of the complex's test units have capabilities unmatched elsewhere in the United States; some are unique in the world. AEDC is one of three installations which are part of the Air Force Test Center (AFTC), one of six subordinate commands of the Air Force Materiel Command organization and an important national resource.

AEDC’s mission is to conduct developmental test and evaluation for the Nation through modeling, simulation, ground, and flight test.  Execution of the mission requires a large team of highly qualified and dedicated professionals from multiple technical disciplines to effectively accomplish the objectives of our test customers.
 
Job Duties:
  • Primary role as the Information Systems Security Office (ISSO) for Special Access Program networks.
  • Provide direct reporting to NAS Cybersecurity Program Manager.
  • Provide support and daily interaction with NAS ISSM, ISSOs, and Sys Admins.
  • Research and evaluation to ensure JSIG and other security related guidelines requirements are being met on Information Systems.
  • Conduct RMF Certification Testing and setup for Information Systems to ensure functional/support for appropriate accreditation level.
  • Develop and maintain all information systems certification/accreditation documentation in accordance with mandated policies.
  • Coordination with other Sys Admins to ensure the SCTM requirements are being met.
  • Research Information Systems technologies and capabilities.
  • Conduct/oversee weekly audits/reviews of Computer Information Systems to ensure compliance.
  • Review Information Systems to identify potential security weaknesses, recommend improvements to amend vulnerabilities and implement changes and document upgrades.
  • Upgrade of Information Systems and security checklist guidelines.
  • Enforce security policies and safeguards on all personnel who have access to systems and/or networks.
  • Ensure users have required clearances, authorizations, and/or individual user accounts are properly established.
  • Works with the NAS ISSM and Cybersecurity Program Manager to ensure compliance with information assurance regulations and best practices.
  • Ensure Cybersecurity requirements are consistently documented, maintained, evaluated and compliant for Special Access Program networks including components of systems.
  • Support and remediate any issues with Special Access Program networks outside of normal assigned shift.
  • Provide end user troubleshooting support for Special Access Program system networks that include computer hardware and software peripherals.
  • Support the use of common work processes and procedures within assigned function across the TOS contract.
  • Provide support to AEDC Customer and other contractors.
  • Periodically evaluates process and program effectiveness and takes action to maintain continuous improvement.
  • It is a condition of employment to wear company issued PPE (personal protective equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
 Basic Qualifications:
  • B.S. degree in a relevant technical field minimum of 5 years of progressive and relevant Cybersecurity experience. Additional progressive and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal degree.
  • Experience with the USAF/DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Experience with Special Access Programs (SAP).
  • Active Secret or higher security clearance.
  • Current U.S. citizenship.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
  • Familiarity with Arnold Air Force Base test facilities.
  • Security related experience with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
  • Experience with implementing NIST SP 800-53 RMF and Joint Security Implementation Guide (JSIG)
  • Experience with Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) compliance and all activities required in accordance with DoDI 8510.01, Risk Management Framework; DoDI 8500.01, Cyber Security, and AFPD 17-1, Information Dominance.
  • Understanding of DoD 8570.01-M and DoD 8140 Cyber Workforce Qualification requirements.
  • Skilled at building and maintaining personnel relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor less experienced technical staff.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high stress environment.
  • One or more of the following certifications: CISA, CIH, CAP, CISM, CISSP, Security+. Server+, Network+, Linux+, LFCS, RHCSA.
