This opportunity is being offered by National Aerospace Solutions, the team selected by the U.S. Air Force to conduct Test and Operations Sustainment at the Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC), Arnold Air Force Base, Tennessee.  National Aerospace Solutions is a limited liability company comprised of Bechtel National Inc. (as lead company) and Sierra Lobo Inc. with teaming Subcontractors nLogic Inc. and Chugach Federal Solutions Inc. AEDC operates more than 55 aerodynamic and propulsion wind tunnels, rocket and turbine engine test cells, space environmental chambers, arc heaters, ballistic ranges and other specialized units located in six states. Many of the complex's test units have capabilities unmatched elsewhere in the United States; some are unique in the world. AEDC is one of three installations which are part of the Air Force Test Center (AFTC), one of six subordinate commands of the Air Force Materiel Command organization and an important national resource.

AEDC’s mission is to conduct developmental test and evaluation for the Nation through modeling, simulation, ground, and flight test.  Execution of the mission requires a large team of highly qualified and dedicated professionals from multiple technical disciplines to effectively accomplish the objectives of our test customers.

Job Duties:
  • Responsible for managing Cybersecurity and IS&T projects as defined by IS&T management. 
  • Interface with Project Engineers, Cybersecurity staff, and stakeholders to meet schedule and milestone dates.
  • Apply standard engineering methods and techniques when creating schedules.
  • Manage large, complex projects, track and control scope of work, resource utilization, schedules, and work accomplishments.
  • Facilitates the collection of project requirements, objectives, and customer expectations, and clearly communicates this information to project teams.
  • May require project updates to the Branch Manager(s), Directors, General Manager’s Office, and local Air Force.
  • May provide direction to other project managers or project management analysts.
  • Responsible to deliver successful portfolio of projects safely, with all quality attributes, on time and within budget.
  • Perform cost and performance measurement analysis against planned and estimated scope.
  • Ensures compliance with appropriate codes, standards, and regulations (including those for environmental work).
  • Prepares and executes Project Plans using cost, schedule, and performance objectives, resourcing, verification and validation and risk management.
  • Support common work processes and procedures within assigned function across the TOS contract.
  • Assist other project managers, principles, or officers in the management of extremely large, multidiscipline projects.
  • It is a condition of employment to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Basic Qualifications:
  • B.S. degree in a relevant technical field (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Engineering) from an accredited university and a minimum of ten (10) years progressive and relevant IT project management experience or a minimum sixteen (16) years of progressive and relevant experience in lieu of degree. Additional relevant education can be substituted for overall experience.
  • Current U S Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Basic knowledge of engineering, procurement, or other project-related activities.
  • Ability to organize and monitor a wide variety of team efforts to their successful conclusion.
  • Ability to adjust promptly and effectively to change.
  • Experience with development lifecycle methodologies such as Agile DevSecOps.
  • Demonstrated experience in a Cybersecurity project management role.
  • Experience working with creating and managing project schedules for Cybersecurity and/or Information Technology.
  • Secret security clearance.
  • Knowledge of Cybersecurity methodologies.
  • Experience with Special Access Programs.
  • Experience with Risk Management Framework.
  • Experience with creating project schedules in P6.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
