National Aerospace Solutions (NAS), LLC conducts the Test and Operations Sustainment activities at the Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC), Arnold Air Force Base, in Tullahoma, Tennessee. We are currently seeking candidates for a Maintenance and Reliability Specialist at our National Full-scale Aerodynamics Complex (NFAC) located at Moffett Field, California

Job Duties:
  • Responsible for the development, optimization, and implementation of NFAC’s Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) program.
  • Collaborate closely with system engineers to review and improve PM work instructions based on RCM principles.
  • Implement innovative, non-invasive, cost effective predictive maintenance (PdM) technologies and initiatives in support of a pro-active shift to Condition Based Maintenance. The candidate must be able to apply FMEA principles to discern root causes of failure and create mitigation processes that are effective and cost efficient. The ideal candidate will have experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) databases.
  • Conduct training on RCM best practices and provide guidance for tactical execution of predictive maintenance technologies as appropriate, including but not limited to: vibration analysis, infrared thermography, lube oil analysis, motor circuit analysis, ultrasonic testing, parts or component quality testing, power quality testing, etc.
  • Plan and schedule maintenance efforts around a dynamic research testing schedule.
  • Organize and oversee site equipment and spares inventory.
  • Maintain the Asset Condition database and work toward integrating asset condition into the asset management strategy.
  • Prepare monthly reports detailing maintenance metrics.
  • It is a condition of employment to wear company issued PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
Basic Qualification:
  • B.S. degree in engineering from an accredited college or university plus 3 years of engineering experience.
  • Experience in RCM/CBM implementation is highly desired.  
  • CMRP highly desirable.
  • RCM and CBM training is preferable.
  • Ability to plan, organize, lead and monitor a wide variety of team efforts to their successful conclusion.
  • Microsoft Access and VBA experience desirable.
