National Aerospace Solutions (NAS), LLC is the team selected by the U.S. Air Force (USAF) to conduct Test and Operations Sustainment activities at the Arnold Engineering Development Complex, Arnold Air Force Base, in Tullahoma, Tennessee. NAS is committed to partnering with the Air Force and the workforce at Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC) to drive the change necessary to ensure the long-term viability of the Complex while ensuring mission success: no impact to customers, no loss in data quality, and no reduction in productive test time – ultimately securing AEDC's long-term future and world-class superiority in aerospace and flight testing.

Job Duties:
  • Supports the NAS enterprise-wide RCM approach using reliability engineering methods and PdM technologies to implement and drive the program across the TOS contract.
  • Supports the development of the long-term AEDC maintenance plan for equipment.
  • Supports the use of common work processes and procedures within assigned function across the TOS contract.
  • Ensures failure modes addressed within preventive maintenance procedures are appropriately based on failure modes analysis.
  • Responsible for changes to the equipment maintenance strategy based on analysis of asset failure data and development of (failure) codes for the work order system.
  • Performs statistical analysis on machinery failure data and work order closing codes to determine whether adjustments to the equipment maintenance strategy are warranted.
  • Leads the Root Cause Analysis process as a part of a proactive strategy. Leads the Root Cause Failure Analysis effort for sporadic failures. Catalogues and databases the RCA/RCFA results for sporadic failures and subsequent action items.
  • Responsible for the design of the plant asset hierarchy sufficient to satisfy asset management/operational/accounting needs along with the design and management of the asset criticality database and the failure modes criticality database.
  • It is a condition of employment to wear company issued PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy.
  • Perform other related duties as required. 
Basic Qualifications:
  • B.S. degree in engineering/scientific/technical degree (mechanical, electrical, industrial, computer science, mathematics, physics, etc.) from an accredited university.
  • RCM and CBM training is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products is required.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, including the preparation of technical reports is required.
