National Aerospace Solutions (NAS), LLC is the team selected by the U.S. Air Force (USAF) to conduct Test and Operations Sustainment activities at the Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC), Arnold Air Force Base, in Tullahoma, Tennessee. NAS currently has an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Recruiting and Staffing Human Resources professional to join our team in Tullahoma, TN.


Job Duties:
The NAS Recruiting & Staffing Lead advises managers and supervisors on recruiting, staffing, and retention strategies, applicable policies, processes, and best practices. The successful candidate will support continuous improvement and the use of common work processes and procedures within Human Resources and ensures compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements such as E-Verify. The successful candidate may provide day-to-day guidance to the recruiting and staffing team.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Manages high volume full-cycle recruiting for multiple functional organizations to include:
    • Partnering with hiring managers to develop clear and concise job descriptions
    • Posting vacancies using applicant tracking system (CATS)
    • Reviewing applicants for positions and forwarding to hiring managers for consideration and scheduling interviews with candidates
    • Extending offers and initiating security requests/background investigations
    • Coordinating report-to-work dates with candidates
    • Maintaining up-to-date statuses in applicant tracking system.
  • Develops and maintains metrics relative to the staffing & recruiting processes and other areas as assigned. 
  • Investigates and recommends methods to improve human resources services, develops procedures and processes with a focus on quality, continuous improvement and customer service.
  • Researches, assembles and evaluates information or data regarding industry best recruiting practices, policies or programs, recommends sound practical solution to complex issues. 
Basic Qualifications:
  • BS/BA in Human Resources, Business, Education, or a related field plus 8 - 10 years of progressive and relevant experience or any equivalent combination of progressive and relevant education and experience in two or more Human Resources disciplines including staffing and recruiting.
  • Experience in analyzing and forecasting staffing needs, sourcing candidates, interviewing and developing staffing and recruiting strategies. 
  • Experience in hiring salaried, hourly, and temporary employees.
  • Experience training/consulting with managers in best practices for staffing and recruiting.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Skilled in the preparation of written communications and oral presentations.
 Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience managing temporary agency contracts.
  • Experience recruiting for a government contractor.
  • Experience with Government charging practices, the Service Contract Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, and Affirmative Action related laws and regulations.
  • Experience partnering with diversity organizations to promote and increase diversity applicants and hires.
  • Skilled in development of metrics to assist in making sound business decisions.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access.
  • Experience reporting on EEO data and educating hiring managers on Affirmative Action plans.
  • PHR or equivalent certification.
  • Knowledge of laws and regulatory requirements related to areas of responsibility such privacy of data, government reporting requirements and human resources program design and administration.
  • Self-starter with a high level of flexibility, keen attention to detail, commitment, and ability to tackle process improvement.
  • Ability to travel overnight for recruiting events
  • Ability to work within assigned teams with limited supervision, exercise independent judgement and decision making, take initiative to resolve issues and support team success across the company.
  • Ability to identify problem areas, investigate alternative options and recommend or implement solutions related to areas of responsibility.
