National Aerospace Solutions (NAS), LLC is the team selected by the U.S. Air Force (USAF) to conduct Test and Operations Sustainment activities at the Arnold Engineering Development Complex, Arnold Air Force Base, in Tullahoma, Tennessee. NAS currently has an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Security Professional to serve as Site Construction Superintendent for all SCI construction/modification requirements. 

This position is a 12 month assignment.

Job Duties: 
  • Assigned to the site as Security Manager to provide oversight and validation of security requirements, in accordance with ICD 705 Technical Specifications.
  • Approved in writing by the AEDC Special Security Officer and serve as the POC for any site security issues or questions.
  • Participate in the design review process from concept to 100% design.
  • Monitor construction for security compliance with drawings and technical specifications.
  • Ensure construction and all other project-related activities are executed in a secure manner according to Construction Security Plan provided by the AEDC Special Security Officer.
  • Provide security training and security oversight in accordance with the Construction Security plan for the construction crew, project management personnel, and any other personnel working on the site.
  • Ensure all construction plans and associated information with the effort are marked and handled appropriately.
  • Ensure all personnel accessing the site and material storage areas are properly vetted and trained to work on the site.
  • Maintain all security-related documentation including photographs, inspections, etc., as stated in the Construction Security Plan.
  • Maintain the project’s security file with all pertinent construction information.
  • Coordinate with AF project managers as required for construction issues and corrective actions.
  • Identify all deviations from contract documents and record actions taken to insure compliance.
  • It is a condition of employment to wear company issued PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
    Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university and 9 years of progressive and relevant Security experience or any equivalent combination of education and progressive and relevant experience.
  • Secret Security Clearance Required; TS/SCI Security Clearance preferred
  • Thorough knowledge, understanding, and application of ICD Number 705.
  • Knowledge of construction, engineering, networks, and other special security project-related activities, including their interfaces and interdependencies.
  • Ability to plan, organize, lead and monitor a wide variety of team efforts to successful conclusion.
  • Ability to anticipate change and to adjust promptly and effectively.
