Job Title:  Work Planner

Job Duties:
  • Position is available in the Aeropropulsion Plant area
  • Responsible for gathering project requirements, developing cost and schedule inputs, and developing work orders to plan projects. Program resource, cost and schedule requirement will be used to populate the integrated AEDC schedule. 
  • Ensure product preparedness for weekly area test, maintenance, and investment schedule meetings. 
  • Daily/Weekly plan and schedule the efficient use of resources to meet priorities and changing schedules.
  • Plan standby work packages for maintenance/investments that can be executed during downtimes, LTT events, unplanned outages, etc.
  • Facilitate the weekly/daily planning and scheduling meetings.
  • Identify and coordinate resolution of schedule conflicts. 
  • Enter and track Outages as required.
  • Support the use of common work processes and procedures within assigned function across the TOS contract and within the Aeropropulsion Branch.
  • Develop and maintain program plans, work packages, and schedules.
  • Conduct schedule updates and reporting.
  • Communicate schedule status.
  • Prepare materials for weekly schedule and planning meetings.
  • Provide analysis of resource requirements
  • Perform schedule risk analyses.
  • Interface between engineering, project managers, supervisors, and work crews to effectively plan and execute work.
  • Identifies job safety hazards, coordinates with Safety and Industrial Hygiene to mitigate hazards, and incorporates hazard mitigation into job work plans.
  • It is a condition of employment to wear company issued PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Basic Qualifications:
  • B.A./B.S. plus 12 years of relevant experience or any equivalent combination of relevant and progressive experience totaling 16 years.
  • Knowledge of craft skill sets which are required to perform different work tasks.
  • Experienced knowledge of low and medium voltage electrical systems and controls maintenance practices and processes.
  • Knowledge of AEDC industrial work processes.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing/maintaining project plans and schedules.
  • Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning and scheduling functions.
  • Proficiency with PC operating systems and in several basic software applications.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and customers.
  • Analytical skill to understand and interpret technical data and electrical specifications and blueprints.
  • Skilled in oral and written communication and fundamentals of work scheduling.
