Job Title:  ID&C Supervisor

Job Duties:
  • Responsible for supervision of assigned ID&C personnel and meeting the mission requirements assigned to the TOS contract within the J1, J2, T3, T11 Test Cells of the Aeropropulsion Combined Test Force (CTF). This position will include extensive coordination within the Aeropropulsion CTF and across all AEDC CTF facilities.Extensive and effective coordination will also be required with other supporting contract and government organizations from time to time.Planning and reporting within the Aeropropulsion CTF and TOS contract is required. Successful candidate will frequently interface directly with assigned government managers in accordance with project requirements and organizational leadership direction.
  • Line management of a team consisting of approximately 20 instrumentation, controls, software, and network engineers, system administrators, and technical specialists.
  • Management oversight of assigned facility and test ID&C systems of the J1, J2, T3, and T11 Cells.
  • Management of ID&C engineering tasks assigned to J/T ID&C team; assist and monitor related work assignments.
  • Lead and support weekly and monthly operations planning/work coordination meetings.
  • Develop and coordinate schedules with various test teams. Manage and implement long-term planning goals for J1, J2, T3, T11 Test Cells sustainment and improvement initiatives.
  • Manage assigned capital improvement budgets for the J1, J2, T3, and T11 Test Cells.
  • Effectively coordinate test operations and equipment maintenance activities with government CTF Asset Managers, from an ID&C perspective.
  • Support development, tracking and reporting of contract and CTF metrics.
  • It is a condition of employment to wear company issued PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
 Basic Qualifications:
  • B.S. degree in electrical engineering or a related scientific discipline from a regionally accredited college or university (ABET accreditation preferred) or a minimum of 11 years of applicable and progressive experience along with a sufficient number of specialized courses in relevant general engineering or appropriate engineering disciplines to meet job requirements.
  • Direct knowledge of Aeropropulsion test ID&C systems, operations and maintenance, preferably in J1, J2, T3, and T11 Test Cell ID&C.
  • Experience in the basics of supervision and workforce management, including work planning and monitoring, cultivation of productive working relationships, and ability to solve staffing problems and facilitate conflict resolution.
  • Demonstrated adherence to safe mission practices.
  • Working knowledge of Project Management concepts and terminology.
  • Highly effective at written and oral communication and group presentations.
