Job Duties:
  • Communicates information that assists effective management and decision making to the Space and Missiles Branch Management team and Capital Project Manager.
  • Uses Primavera P6 to establish and maintain individual project schedules and unify them into integrated schedules to provide NAS management visibility into program resource allocations for decision making.
  • Implements cost control processes for Capital Improvement projects.
  • Coordinates with Project Engineers and the engineering team to create, manage, maintain and update schedules in a complex project environment.
  • Develops work breakdown structures; Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules; and resource, cost and budget plans.
  • Performs critical path analysis and develops timelines for completion of tasks, measuring the deliverable work packages of the project against the project plan.
  • Communicates schedule conflicts, resource constraints, and time constraints to the project team.
  • Supports the preparation of progress reports, standardized reporting procedures and the monitoring of overall project performance.
  • Communicates and publishes plans to appropriate involved individuals to ensure each person understands the overall scope of the project and when tasks are required to be begun and completed.
  • Uses data gathering, management and analytical processes to predict, understand and constructively influence the time and cost outcomes of projects.
  • It is a condition of employment to wear company issued PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Basic Qualification:
  • BA/BS plus 12 years related experience or 16 years related experience in lieu of degree.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across all levels of leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining integrated enterprise schedules.
  • Demonstrated communication skills in identifying and coordinating the resolution of schedule deviations and conflicts.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Experienced user of Oracle Primavera P6.
  • Thorough knowledge of baseline development, schedule performance management, control and analysis; performing monitoring and change management.
  • Experience and demonstrated skill in establishing criteria for Project Controls activities.
  • Demonstrated skill in management, supervisory, and personnel administrative functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and direct.
  • With minimal supervision using a high level of professional judgment and knowledge related to technical schedule management skills and practices.
